Meet Chef Tirzah Stashko

Chef Tirzah is a professionally trained chef with over a decade of experience working in some of the world’s best restaurants. She realized her passion for food and cooking as a child helping her grandmothers prepare Bavarian, Ukrainian, and Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. It wasn’t long until Tirzah’s love of restaurants was sparked after a trip to Paris and a year studying there.

After earning her degree in Food Studies from NYU, Tirzah honed her craft as a chef working for the inspiring, award-winning chefs Gabrielle Hamilton and Anita Lo in NYC and Dominique Crenn in San Francisco. She worked at Michelin-starred restaurants in Mallorca and France and apprenticed as a whole-animal butcher. In her first role as head chef, the NYT raved about her food and asked for her celery victor recipe (The New York Times).

All of this led Tirzah to start Schatzi Kitchen to make dining in or hosting an event a truly special, unforgettable experience with her unique culinary sensibility and thoughtful hospitality. Now, she is embracing the opportunity to cook for you and your guests so you can share good food with good people and not worry about a thing!
